Tonight around 6:30PM, there were 2 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS foraging on the tarps
at North Branch C&O Canal in Cumberland. I received word of these birds from
J.B. Churchill, who received a call from Stan & Elaine Arnold. The Arnold's
said they had seen the birds around 3:00PM and if I'm not mistaken, they
were orginially found earlier this afternoon by Hans Holbrook. The Arnold's
were on-scene around 5:30 when I arrived and shortly thereafter J.B.
arrived; however, we didn't locate the Baird's until around 6:30. Also
present were the following birds of note:

STILT SANDPIPER - at least 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Killdeer
AMERICAN COOT
GREEN-WINGED TEAL - 3

Good birding!
