I birded Elk Neck SP today with hopes of birds coming through with the cold front. I had 6 species of warblers: CHESTNUT SIDED, BLACK THROATED BLUE, BLACK THROATED GREEN, MAGNOLIA, AMERICAN REDSTART and BLACK AND WHITE. Also heard a PHILADELPHIA VIREO, who despite my best efforts, remained unseen-was a nice comparison with the vocalizing RED EYED VIREOS. Lots of flycatchers around, but without vocalizations, except for a pair of GREAT CRESTEDS, could not identify them for sure. Good birding and enjoy the rest of the holiday!
