This morning J.B. Churchill and I set out to find some mixed warbler flocks
in Green Ridge State Forest. We headed north along Green Ridge Road, then to
Dughill Road, eventually leading to Old Town/Orleans Road. By my records we
tallied 46 species, including 12 species of warblers (see below). It wasn't
a bad assortment including single of BAY-BREASTED WARBLER, PRAIRIE WARBLER,
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER, and NORTHERN PARULA. Unfortunately, the only
flycatcher we saw was Eastern Wood-Pewee. I keep telling myself that I'll
get that Yellow-bellied Flycatcher eventually. :-)
