Had a good passerine flight

at ELK NECK today. 10 species of warblers included: YELLOW, MAGNOLIA, BLACK AND WHITE, BLACK THROATED BLUE, BLACK THROATED GREEN, BLACKBURNIAN, PRAIRIE, PALM, BLACKPOLL, BLACK AND WHITE and COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. Lots of BLUE GRAY GNATCATCHERS and RED EYED VIREOS. Several SCARLET TANAGERS and a single YELLOW BILLED CUCKOO as well as hearing a WILLOW FLYCATCHER rounded out the morning. My husband and I ran into Bob Strahorn who volunteered at the hawk watch and between us were able to see a BROAD WINGED HAWK. Bob and I also had an unidentified hawk. All in all a good several hours at the neck. Good birding all !
