Elk Neck State Park was slow today with migrants. Only had 3 warblers: MAGNOLIA, AMERICAN REDSTART and BLACK and WHITE. The most exciting passerine was a PHILADELPHIA VIREO that I actually seen! This is the 2nd one this season that I had at Elk Neck, the first one I heard only. At the Hawk Watch itself it was thrilling to see a MERLIN! I am amazed at how fast flying these creatures are! Good Birding and think Northwest winds!
