Yesterday I visited Ocean City and stopped to look at the inlet, the flats, and the WOC pond. The inlet was quiet with Turnstones and Sanderlings on the jetty, a few terns flying about, and haze over the ocean.
There were lots of birds on the flats with the best being:
Brown Pelican 50
Black-bellied Plover 1
Semi Plover 15
PIPING PLOVER 1
Oystercatcher 12
Sanderling 200
Common Tern 2
Forster's Tern 15
Royal Tern 10
Sandwich Tern 2
BLACK SKIMMER 8, six adults and 2 juveniles

The water level at the West Ocean City pond is low and there is abundant shorebird habitat.
Canada Goose 150
Wood Duck 15
Mallard 100
Green-winged Teal 10
Great Blue Heron 9
Little Blue Heron 4
Tricolored Heron 6
Semi Plover 5
Killdeer 5
Lesser Yellowlegs 30
Semi, Western, & Least Sandpipers totalling about 50-100 but often diofficult to see in the grass.
Pectoral Sandpiper 5
Stilt Sandpiper 1
Short-billed Dowitcher 12
