Hi all,
I birded around Garrett County after work yesterday and had some nice surprises. I started at the north end of Savage Reservoir and had some nice migrant activity in the willows here, noticing that the water was down, I figured the Yough may be as well. I headed off there, and sure enough, the whole south end was a vast mud flat with short grasses just starting to come up, some of the highlights from here included a BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, 2 SANDERLING, an impressive 111 KILLDEER, a PHILADELPHIA VIREO (in the willows) and quite a few other migrant shorebird and passerine species.
