Greetings,

I am very glad to know others have seen young cardinals. Last week, I
saw an immature cardinal shaking its wings and being feed sunflower
seeds by its mother. It seem very late in the summer to see that sort
of behavior unless it was from a late summer brood? This has been a
good breeding season for the birds common to my yard. I have been going
thru 25 lb.s of bird feed per week this summer. That usually only
happens during the worst of the winter. Also my squirrel population has
increased tremendously this summer, too.
