Hi Everyone,

I stopped by Fort Smallwood and walked around in the rain for an hour after work today. The pond held few birds, but there were still several CASPIAN TERNs fishing over the Bay. I walked the perimeter of the pond, eventually encountering a small flock of migrants. The flock held two ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKs, one MAGNOLIA WARBLER, and one CAPE MAY WARBLER. The grosbeaks and Cape May were my first of fall.

Good birding!

Bill
