Wind turbines have been proposed for Annapolis' Greenbury Point. It
brings up plenty of issues for the birds and those who love to watch
them.

-Will there be public access?
-Will these turbines affect the local bird populations, and those that
use this area as a stop-over in migration?
-What impact will it have on the mixed scrub, wetland, forest habitat?

And, there is some very interesting news for those County birders.
Perhaps the City of Annapolis might get our own little version of
Hart-Miller or Poplar Island some time in the near future?

"Can artificial islands save the Chesapeake Bay? Annapolis Mayor Ellen
O. Moyer has an idea for improving the health of the city's creeks:
install artificial, wetlands-covered islands."

NOTE: At the moment, the Capital is having issues with their links.

And now, I've got a gig at Mayo Beach Park this afternoon in the
blazing hot August... no, wait SEPTEMBER sun. I'll keep my eyes on
the skies. Maybe that Whimbrel that was there last year will stop by
the gig?

Good Birding,
