Jim Peters and I had a mini-fallout at the Fort wetland this morning. Bird
of the day was a WESTERN KINGBIRD. The WEKI that spent the breeding season
at the fort for 6 consecutive years did not materialize this year so I guess
this migrant is sent as a consolation prize.

Also seen: at least 8 empids unidentified as to species but likely Traill's,
along with an Eastern Wood-Pewee and a Least Flycatcher; 5 Palm Warblers, 2
Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, 4 Common Yellowthroats, 1 Magnolia Warbler, 1
American Redstart, 1 Ovenbird and a calling Winter Wren and a House Wren.
