At least one hummingbird is still coming to my feeders.? The one I've been seeing today is a juvie male and he's FEISTY!? The chickadees (and titmice) like to drink out of the hummingbird feeder's ant moat.? They usually perch on the moat drinking contentedly while the hummers feed from the feeder below but just now that juvie male hummingbird took exception to the chickadee and repeatedly buzzed it until the chickadee flew away.? The hummer then had a nice long drink from the feeder and flew away.? The chickadee came back almost immediately but its head kept darting this way and that, looking for that scary flying needle no doubt!? Very entertaining.
