Terry Allen of the Talbot County Chapter of MOS sent the note below.
Observations here at Leeds Creek tend to confirm his call. Early this
morning I heard a few distant Canada Goose calls from high in the sky, but
the low clouds kept me from seeing them. Around noon there were two very
small low-flying groups (one of four, one of seven) that appeared to be
something other than the local "golf course geese". This evening a few
Canada Geese came to our site on Leeds Creek just after dark, and have
remained. These are the first night time visitors here since the last ones
departed last spring.
They are indeed beginning to come back! And right on time.

Les,

At 4:45 p.m. today I heard and saw a small flock of 3 migrant Canada Geese
flying high and due south over Oxford. Patty saw a flock over Kent Island
today as well. Nothing like a good cold front to get birds moving.
