Decided to check out the reservoir to see if any unusual migrants were stopping by this evening. Nancy Magnusson had the same idea, and she was leaving as I arrived. Nancy's highlights were a Merlin chasing Killdeer and a Common Raven being chased by 6 crows from Howard to Montgomery County.

My sightings for the evening follow; each species was seen in both Howard and Montgomery Counties unless noted otherwise:

Canada Geese - 15 (Ho Co)
Mallard - 10
Great Egret (1 in each county)
Great Blue Heron (1 in each county)
Osprey - 1
Bald Eagle - 1 (Mont Co)
PEREGRINE FALCON - 1 (imm; landed briefly on the sandbar)
Killdeer - 10 (Mont Co)
Barred Owl - 1 (Called twice at 5:30PM; Mont Co)
Belted Kingfisher - 1
Blue Jay - x (Mont Co)
Caroline Chickadee - 3 (Mont Co)
Tufted Titmouse - 2 (Mont Co)
