Hi,

My wife (Donna) and I spent Saturday and most of Sunday in the Ocean
City area doing a bit of birding and a few other things. Some
highlights for me were 7 Black Skimmers at Skimmer Island, some
shorebirds at West Ocean City Pond (including White-rumps and
Pectorals). Mark Hoffman was there and found a Merlin there for me
(which I needed for my state year list). We/I had a Veery, a Cape May,
a Blackpoll, a few Northern Parulas, and Am. Redstarts at Bayside
Campground.

On the way back on Sunday, Donna and I stopped at the Chesapeake Bay
Env. Ctr (formerly referred to as Horsehead Sanctuary) where the
shorebird habitat was good and viewing from Blind 1 I had an amazing 33
Stilt Sandpipers (actual count), a single Dunlin a few Pectoral
Sandpipers (~10 or so), Both Yellowlegs (lessers were way more
numerous), Semipalmated Plovers, Semipalmated Sandpipers, and Least
Sandpipers.

Good Birding !
