Thank you for the extensive report on DNR's work with the plight of the
bobwhite quail. I certainly agree that this is one of our really great upland
hunting species and it would be a real loss to everyone if this resource
disappears.
However, why can't restoration begin on DNR properties. Can't you close
the season [as they have already done in Garrett and Allegheny Counties]
temporarily until current conditions are improved?
We need help from DNR now - not after the species dissappears
from all of our farmland areas.
