I am new to the list and have been following with interest, concern and
sadness about bobwhites. I grew up on a farm in Baltimore County(now an
industrial park) and  

 Remembering my father whistling to the Bobwhites.

 

 Every year when I go to Chincoteague I look forward to hearing, if not
seeing, Bobwhites on the nature drive.  I heard none this year.
