Hi all --

Decided to enjoy the beautiful fall weather at Terrapin Park, Queen Anne's Co., today. Things were quite a bit slower than the last visit, the best bird being a LINCOLN'S SPARROW in the Maintenance Yard. A big drop-off in birds such as Catbirds and Thrashers, & only a few Robins and Blue Jays going over. Some clever person has mowed the Wildflower Meadow at the peak of fall wildflower season (and peak of migrating birds and butterflies!) so habitat a bit messed up for sparrows, and we only saw the one.

Birds of interest:

Black-throated Blue Warbler - 3
Blackpoll Warbler - 2
Northern Parula - 2
Nashville Warbler - 1
Palm Warbler - 3
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 5
Common Yellowthroat - 10

Blue-headed Vireo- 1
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1
Brown Thrasher - 5
Gray Catbird - 10
House Wren - 5
Lincoln's Sparrow - 1 (no other sparrows at all!)
