Seeing that the weather was cool and misty early this morning,
October 1, I decided to get over to Little Falls Parkway north of
River Rd. to see if there were any migrants around -- and there
were: MAGNOLIA, BLACK-THROATED GREEN, PARULA, BLACK-AND-WHITE and
YELLOWTHROAT in the warbler department and my first RUBY-THROATED
KINGLET of the fall. There were also some lingering Gray Catbirds, 3
different House Wrens, and a latish Eastern Wood-pewee.

Today was the first time I ever have seen a Pileated Woodpecker in
this park, where I have birded on and off for over 30 years.
