My wife and I paid a return visit to Green Farm Conservation Park
this morning, October 8. That's the relatively new park next to the
Montgomery County airport. There we met up with Jim Green, visiting
the place for the first time. As we were leaving, we saw Elaine
Hendricks, another MDOsprey regular, who was also paying her first visit.

Today was less birdy than yesterday, partly due to lack of a strong
sun and partly because of a persistent wind. But we did come across a
few birds not seen by me yesterday: OVENBIRD, NASHVILLE WARBLER, and
5-6 PALM WARBLER, of both western and yellow races. Jim also had
some GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS and a perched MERLIN before we met up
with him. Jim spotted a nice male WILSON'S WARBLER for us, possibly
the same individual I saw yesterday.

There was less of a variety of sparrows than on the 7th, but the
number of White-throated continues to go up.
