Hi All,

Nancy and I tried to re-locate the female Ruff reported yesterday at
Melitota. No luck but lots of birds around including a huge count of 310
Killdeer. Also present, or flying over, were 400 Snow Geese, 12 Horned
larks, and about 8 American Pipits. At Great Oak Pond there were 44
Green-winged Teal, 2 pintail, 144 Ruddy Ducks, and a pectoral Sandpiper.
It's a big field and it has a lot of shorebirds in it, albeit only one
species when we were there this morning. There's a pond across the field
(with lots of teal, some shovelers, and mallards) where something like a
Ruff might hang out when it wasn't feeding in the field.

Good birding,
