As I write this, around 60 Black Vultures are circling over my house--what do they know that I don't!

That old picnic trail road btw the Skeet Center and the Fishing Center--lots of fun today. Always a great time when the birds decide to be especially cooperative and close--lots of activity there.

Two junk birds: RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH and HERMIT THRUSH. I'm joking of course. I counted 7 Hermits and 6 (at least) rb nuts, which were out-singing and for awhile outnumbering the wb nuts.

WT Sparrows--I know their song is wonderful--a nice accompaniment this morning--but too darn many of them. Tons of kinglets, both kinds. Juncos, bluebirds.

Some others: GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH, YB SAPSUCKER, Pine Warbler (1), yellow rumps, BLACK-THROATED BLUE (1 male), two Cooper's. I may be out there again Wed morning.
