Among the morning bird highlights today (11/2) along the entrance road to Woodmont Academy in western Howard County were the following: one Eastern Phoebe, a Winter Wren, three Ruby-crowned Kinglets, a few Cedar Waxwings, about 15 American Pipits flying overhead in several small flocks, five White-crowned Sparrows including 3 handsome adults, one Lincoln’s Sparrow, one Eastern Meadowlark, and a fly-over Pine Siskin. This entrance is off of Frederick Road (Rte 144), about a mile east of Route 97.
