At 4:30pm, The Shrike?must of moved back to Kibler Rd and?sat proudly atop his tree, chasing off a Red-bellied Woodpecker several times. The road, however, was very busy with?construction trucks passing by every few minutes.
Great bird!

Subject: [MDOSPREY] QA Shrike Update
Dan Small and I did see the shrike today at about 1230.? It had moved away from
the public roads onto private inaccessible parts of Chino Farm, but not a great
distance.? However, since?it has been moving around a bit?it could well move
back out to the Kibler Rd area again.??
?
In response to Leo Weigant's post about prior year's shrikes-? We (Foreman's
Branch Bird Observatory on Chino Farm) did band an immature Northern Shrike (as
Doug Gill mentioned) last November.? Additionally, we had a different individual
(adult) winter on the 200+ acre restored grasslands on the property.
