In relation to Pine Siskins at Druid Ridge Cemetery (Pikesville), I stopped there late last week and did not see any. The last time I saw them there was October 23. They were in the long row of hemlocks on the north edge of the cemetery.
Yesterday I fleetingly saw and heard a flock of Siskins flying out of the pines about 200 feet from the front of my house. At least I'm pretty sure based on the practice I had distinguishing Siskin notes from Goldfinches' at Druid Ridge, and they were also flying in a tight ball like the Siskins at Druid Ridge. It's not surprising that they were flying _away_ since there are absolutely no cones in those pines.
I check Druid Ridge fairly often. I'll post if I see Siskins there again. Or how about Crossbills or Redpolls?
