I stopped by Druid Ridge Cemetery (Pikesville)* today around 10 AM and there
were about 40 Pine Siskins at the west end of the long row of hemlocks
(closest to Reisterstown Rd) on the north edge of the cemetery. There are
gravestones for Webster and Parrish in that area. They were almost silent
until they periodically flew around.

No crossbills or Redpolls. Sorry. But a few possible Purple Finch notes
heard in the same area. There were also 50+ Juncos feeding on the ground in
that area. And not too far towards the center of the cemetery I again saw a
Merlin perched then flying as on Oct 22.

Yesterday I heard and sort-of saw a small flock of Siskins at Powell's Run
Rd (off Marriottsville Rd) and heard a few at the end of Liberty Dam Rd
where the dam is.

* Druid Ridge Cemetery is between Reisterstown Rd, Park Heights Ave, Old
Court Road and the Beltway. The main entrance is on Park Heights but there
is another on Reisterstown Rd. Incidentally, a managerial-looking person of
the cemetery asked "May I help you" (the universal language for "What are
you doing, you suspicious-looking person?"). I said I was bird-watching, and
he smiled and went on.
