I spent a couple hours this morning at Jug Bay on the PG county side. When I arrived there was a very large flock of Fish Crows circling the bay. I estimated about 400, but there could've been more. Laughing Gulls and Common Grackles were also present in big numbers.
It looks like the ducks are picking up too. In addition to the dozens of Black Ducks and Mallards, there were a few NORTHERN PINTAILS and AMERICAN WIDGEONS. I've never seen a single domestic species at Jug Bay until today, when I saw four Domestic Muscovy ducks in the distance, underneath a pier. Pied-billed Grebes and American Coots could be seen amidst the dying vegetation.
Other birds include GREATER YELLOWLEGS, Tundra Swans flying overhead, Swamp Sparrows, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Osprey, and a great look at a Barred Owl being harassed by Blue Jays.
