Hi all. Here is a photo compilation of the Red-tailed Hawk fight I photographed on Sunday above a field in Kennedyville, Kent County Maryland. It was over a Blackbird that was caught by one of the Red tailed Hawks. The other Red-tailed wanted it more and they fought over it and fell all the way to the ground where they continued the power struggle on the ground until one of them gave up and flew off. The other was then approached by a 4 year old Bald Eagle, but he took off before the Eagle could get to close. It was very exciting, I wish I was closer. On the 3rd photograph, notice the trail of blackbird feathers above the two Hawks as they fell back to the ground from well over 100 feet above the ground. The photographs aren't the best, but they certainly tell the story.
