Hi all,
About half the birds at my 4 thistle socks this morning are Pine Siskins,
which puts the number somewhere between 24 and 36, roughly speaking. They feed
heavily for a few minutes then fly off in a mixed flock with the
goldfinches, then back, then away, etc. Very skittish flocks. Maybe one of the Cooper's
Hawks is patrolling the area (I have seen 2 recently, an adult and an
immature).
