   I forgot to add two male Wood Ducks were also at Cranberry Reservoir.

   I birded some of the grassland areas in NW Carroll County this morning. The most interesting sightings were: 



BALD EAGLE  1 adult cruising around John Shirk Road for several minutes 

Red-tailed Hawk  only 3 seen 

Kestrel  7 

RAVEN  2, Sixes Bridge Road just west of Keysville Road, being harassed by crows 

Horned Lark  35 at Sixes Bridge Road X Keysville-Bruceville Road, 2 on Jasontown Road, 1 heard on John shirk Road 



   Later I checked the farm pond on Study Road: 

Canada Goose  300 

Baldpate  1 

Black Duck  1 

Mallard  20 

Green-winged Teal  2 

Hooded Merganser  14 

Great Blue Heron  1 

Coot  1 



   And Cranberry Reservoir: 

Canada Goose  700 

Baldpate  4 

Mallard  1 

Green-winged Teal  3 

Ring-necked Duck  1 

Hooded Merganser  8 

Ruddy Duck  12 

Killdeer  40 

BONAPARTE'S GULL  1, my first of the fall and the only gull present
