Folks

I spoke with Robin on Poplar Island this morning about arranging a trip to see the Snowy Owl there. The bird was still there this morning. Robin is willing to arrange a trip for birders to come see the Snowy Owl, and suggested Thursday. She will need at least eight (8) people and no more then twenty-four (24). Robin and be reached at or # 410-770-6503.

I may not be able to get over this week, and don't have the time to coordinate the trip, so if someone wants to volunteer to coordinate a visit to Poplar Island to look for the Snowy Owl please post a note to the listserve.

You will meet at the boat peer at 9 AM of the day the trip is arranged. The boat returns to the peer at 1:30 PM, and it could be very cold on Thursday. Bring your own food and drinks, but Poplar has a bus to ferry birders around. The peer is located on Rt. 33 just over the drawbridge on Tilghman Island on the left. The Maryland Dept of Environment manages the work there, and you will be under their rules and obligations.

Please post a note if you want to coordinate this trip, and all interested contact Robin or the coordinator. Preferably the coordinator so Robin can deal with her other duties. The bird has been there for about a week but birds do fly.

A huge thank you to Robin for allowing the MD birders this opportunity.

Robin - If any information in this note is incorrect, please let me know so I can correct the details.
