Hi all,
     Took advantage of the calm weather to bird Black Hill Park (Little Seneca Lake) in Boyds.
  Waterfowl numbers seem lower, compared to last year, but it's still fall. Here's the rundown on what was seen/heard:
   
  4 Canvasbacks
  50-60 Buffleheads
  50 Ruddy Ducks (small flocks moving around)
  40+ Canada Geese
  2 Black Ducks
  35 Mallards
  2 Pied billed Grebes
  1 Red shouldered Hawk
  1 Bald Eagle
  Black Vultures
  Turkey Vultures
  Fish Crow
  Common Crow
  Golden crowned Kinglet
  Ruby " """""""   """"
  3 Pileated Woodpeckers (in one tree!)
  Downy Woodpecker
  Red bellied Woodpecker
  1 Brown Creeper
  American Goldfinches
  White thrt Sparrows
  Song Sparrow
  1-2 Field Sparrows
  1 Winter Wren
  1 Carolina Wren
