Just after noon today, Sunday the 23rd, a Swainson's Hawk was seen at the Cromwell Valley Park HawkWatch, our first ever.   Both Andy Smith and Rick Nuss saw the Swainson's, a species Rick has seen many, many times in his native South Dakota.  The Swainson's Hawk is considered a very rare spring and fall migrant here on the east coast.
