Hi all,

Sorry for the late and quick post, but I have limited access to the internet
at the moment (I am being held hostage by a group of 7 year olds hopped up
on sugar). I went after the Western Kingbird Yesterday, Wednesday 26
November before heading off for Thanksgiving in Kentucky. As I waited for
the gate to open, there was an amazing dawn finch flight with constant PINE
SISKINS and AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES streaming overhead and a couple of PURPLE
FINCHES mixed in for good measure, there were also 3 MARSH WRENS keeping me
company at the gate. I found 2 CACKLING (Richardson's) GEESE in the goose
flock by the Headquarters, and then saw the kingbird just south of the
gravel road leading to the HQ building. On the way back out I stopped at
the last patch of woods before the bridge (south of the bridge, east side of
the road) where the DUNLIN are hanging out, and found one ORANGE-CROWNED
WARBLER in a nice mixed flock. Jo Anna Leachman and I also stopped at Oland
Road in Frederick on the way out of town and were able to locate one LAPLAND
LONGSPUR in with the HORNED LARKS.

Good Birding!
