From the field. It turns out the rarist birds in Worcester today where not long-distanct vagrants Marshall Iliff and Matt Hafner....

(all recs Stasz, Hoffman, Hafner, Iliff, Holbrook, Brighton and Burchett).

Bayside. Minimal flight.

Snowy Owl (1) - Continues in ORV zone, today 5.1 m S from overcross (just N of rd to Fox Hill Levels). County bird for Hafner.

Rum Pointe - Impromtu swallow watch turned into hawk watch when Iliff spotted an imm. Golden Eagle (photos MLH, only my 5th in WC). County bird for Hafner. Photo (G-N) year bird for Hoffman.

Things got even better with Marshall called an imm. Northern Goshawk (!!), that allowed photos (State photo bird for MLH, #360, my 3rd in WC). Third county bird of the day for Matt. Wow!!

Eurasian Collared Dove (1) - As usual at South Point. State bird for Marshall.

OC Inlet
Sweep of the jetty ducks - Harlequin (1) f type, King Eider (1, imm m) and Common Eider (1, imm m). Harly was with scoters on back side of south jetty. Eiders where together at mouth of inlet, half way or so across.

Will post pics tonight.

Nice to have some great eyes!!
