You could contact Irvine Nature Center or Cylburn Arboretum. They both have
mounted bird collections.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Red Headed Woodpecker Skin

I just got an interesting phone call from my father-in-law. He has
been busy cleaning out a relative's soon-to-be-vacated home in
Potomac. My wife's uncle was an avid birder and naturalist who sadly
passed away about two years ago.

In any case... in the basement freezer my wife's father found a
wrapped up, frozen (what I think based on his description) RED HEADED
WOODPECKER.

Anyone interested in having this skin, please email me as soon as
possible. The house is slated to be turned over in about one day, so
get back to me ASAP if interested.

On a side note, my collection of bird and nature books is spectacular.
I'm happy to bird in my wife's Uncle's footsteps.

Help me find a home for this frozen woodpecker?

Best,
