We decided to try for the Western Kingbird today - Sat. 11/29.  We got there at 9:40, birded until 4:30 and spent most of the time looking for the WEKI.  We worked several of the hedgerows near the visitor center, historic site and across the paved main road.  Lots of bluebirds, bluejays, mockers and others, but we didn't find our bird.  I agree with Ron, the bird could still be around, especially since the weather hasn't changed since it was last seen on Wed. by Mikey and Jo Anna.  We had most of the waterfowl species and similar numbers that Ron had.  One of our better birds was a Brown Thrasher on the road going out to Boyles Wharf (north side).  Even though we were not successful with our target bird, it was a very nice day to be out birding!
