Hi all just a quick report that on Wedesday November 26 I made a trip to Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge to look for the Western Kingbird . First run thru came up empty . At about noon time the kingbird was spotted from the gravel drive up to the Vistor Center about half the way up it in the hedgerow north of the road . Then few to the ground on the south side of the road where two other birders and I as recently posted enjoyed quick veiws of the bird . Moving on from there I came back to the same area as above for a second try at about 2:00 Pm and sure enough the Western Kingbird was on the ground on the south side of the Gravel road with a flock of Eastern Bluebirds were I enjoyed extended great looks at the bird. I even got a few not close photos of it . A nice state bird though.

On Thanksgiving Day 11 - 27 - 08 In my Yard near Queenstown Maryland in Queen Annes county I had a vist from 1 male Purple Finch and 1 female or immature brown type Purple Finch at My black Oil sunflower feeder. I also enjoyed robins eating crabapples and drinking and bathing at my birdbath . Also a yellow Bellied Sapsucker tending sap wells at the suguar Maple at my mother and dads house nextdoor .

Happy Birding
