Also as encouragement for those chasing the Greater White-fronted Goose
tomorrow (or rather later this morning, now that I'm thinking about it...boy
I hate exams):

As an alumni, I have some experience birding Georgetown Prep, located right
next door at the corner of 355 and Tuckerman Lane. The school has very
consistently hosted a large flock of Canada Geese, that although were (in
part) year-round residents, had their numbers swell every fall and winter
with migratory birds. If the bird cannot be relocated at the Tuckerman pond
location, it is quite possible that as long as construction has died down
(as I believe I remember it has) the GWFG may be on the grounds of
Georgetown Prep. I'm sending this email to someone in the administration,
but I seriously doubt there will be any trouble for birders who want to
search the grounds, if the need arises tomorrow.

The front golf course between the main building (Boland Hall) and 355 was
traditionally the goose flock's favorite location, and now boasts a small
stormwater management pond (stormwater used to flow into culverts along
Tuckerman and join outflow from the pond the geese were seen on today).
However, the goose flock could also (but less often) be found along the new
baseball/practice fields that ran along Golf Lane from 355 to the rear of
the property.

Happy hunting. I wish this bird had popped up over Thanksgiving; I would've
been home and tried to add it to my old high school list.
