During a quick stop at Oland Rd, Frederick County, late afternoon today
(December 13) we saw a hundred or so Horned Lark in the fields. We
found nothing else of note in the flock; most of the time we were there
the flock kept its distance and remained mostly hidden in the thick corn
stubble.
The highlight of the stop was the low flying geese; mixed in with the
1000 to 2000 Canada Geese were one adult Blue Goose and one Cackling
Goose.
