Today the Greater White-fronted Geese that have been loitering at
Pickering Creek or elsewhere in this region showed up right outside my house
(on headwaters of Leeds Creek). Around 10:30 a flock of 2000 or so geese
descended noisily onto the creek, forcing me to take a look. The TWO
White-fronts (also know as Specks or Speckle Bellies) were in plain view in
the midst of the flock.

I continued to search the flock and soon spotted the small grey Cackling
Goose that has also been previously reported in this area.

A little more watching yielded three Hooded Mergansers, four Buffleheads
and a single Ruddy Duck in the group.
