We had an "eruption" of Pine Siskins this morning!!

After getting my first siskin in years yesterday, we had a flock of about 75 birds today! At one time there were about 40 on my deck eating hulled sunflower seed, 10-12 clinging to my new MoBi thistle feeder, 10 on the suet and safflower feeders, while more fluttered around waiting their turn in the tree above!

They stayed for about 10 minutes and then moved on. I guess they are doing a tour of the "restaurants" in the area! Glad I bought seed yesterday.

What an amazing sight for our tiny townhouse yard in Sewells Orchard!! I hope they come back and bring Purple Finches with them!
