Add to my previous list of the 1st day of the year yardbirds:

Heard at twilight:
Juncos - a small flock
Mourning Doves settling in at roost

Heard at appx 8:30 pm (DST)
A pair of Great Horned Owls calling

That brings my 1st day yard total to 17 - a new record...!!!

While it has been fun to post these as separate entries, i promise that this will not be repeated until possibly 01/01/2010...
