This morning (1/9) around 7:45 I heard a Pine Siskin and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker along Brush Run (street) in east Columbia. Later I saw a female Common Goldeneye, two drake Canvasbacks and several Hooded Mergansers at Centennial Lake near the boat ramp. There was a female Bufflehead, and about a dozen Ring-necked Ducks, on the portion of the lake by the snack bar. A Belted Kingfisher was perched on branches overhanging the water and a Golden-crowned Kinglet called from the nearby woods.
