To all --

We asked for, and received permission in the office, to walk out onto the Yacht Club docks -- in fact the employees we spoke to were quite excited over their rare ducks. (It would be nice if they were sent some photos to display).

If anyone wants to access their property, go in and ask politely, and whatever you do, do NOT park in the private parking lot marked "Members Only". If they get tired of birders or start to get worried about liability, and say "please do not come in any more" -- honor their requests! As Ed posted, most of the water can apparently be viewed from public property -- although yesterday wit seemed everyone was in the CYC.

I might add that I did an Osprey archive search yesterday AND a google for "Cambridge Marina" (before starting out for Cambridge) and found no directions or map specifically for the public marina, so it is good to get this clarified now...I am sure, like us, most there did not know specifically where to look for the ducks, and seeing all the birders with their scopes up, gravitated to the Yacht Club.
