The West Virginia birders of Jan 7th who seem to be the first persons to
call out the "unusual - possibly Barrow's Goldeneye" at the Cambridge Marina
responded to my request - and identified themselves as Barry Marts and
Beverly McDonald of Martinsburg/Inwood, WV.

Their mention of the bird appears to have been followed up by Sam Dyke on
the 7th, yet it is not clear to me that anyone at the marina Saturday
morning knew about the bird until Mikey Lutmerding noticed it. If anyone
has another version of that ID and confirmation sequence for the Barrow's
Goldeneye, please let me know.
