Phil Davis made the excellent suggestion that we birders can express our
appreciation to Cambridge for hosting us and the special ducks by dropping a
little cash here-and-there while in the town. Buy some gas, some groceries,
other supplies, and visit some of the eating places.

From a previous email, Diane Cole of Cambridge provided some eating place
suggestions (See below):

Enjoy your visit to the Cambridge waterfront. If you've not been to this
area before, make time to go to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. If
anyone is looking for a good place to eat, Portside (at the foot of the
drawbridge on the US 50 side) has good food at a reasonable price, and Kay's
at the Airport (go east on 50, turn right onto Bucktown Rd) has some of the
best pancakes around, and the rest of the menu is good, and very
reasonably-priced, too. For good fast food, I like the deli at Royal Farns.
If you like Mexican food, my coworkers rave about El Torito's, located at
the intersection of Academy steet and Market St/Maryland Avenue before you
go back over the drawbridge. Greek Palace has great pasta but don't order
their pizza or subs. You can get good subs at Snow's Turn Market at the
intersection of Race Street/Maple Dam Rd and MD 16, or at Kay's. (If you
visit Kay's in the morning, local pilots may be doing aerobatic tricks over
the airport runway.)
