Hi Phil and Group:

I spent most of Tuesday between the Cambridge Marina and Blackwater NWR and
by late that afternoon I was ready to relax, eat and get warm. My partner
and I ask a local resident where we could get a nice dinner and she
suggested the Snappers Waterfront Café. It was very clean, the people that
work there were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We sat
near a window and watched the boats go in and out after the bridge was
raised each time. I believe the street name was Commerce and it is on the
right before you turn left onto Mill Street. Hope this helps.

Happy Birding,
Patricia

P.S. I did get to see the Barrow's Goldeneye and plan on returning this
Sunday to locate the Tufted Duck and Eurasian Wigeon and then go to
Assateague to locate the Snowy owls.

Visitors

Les:

Many thanks for taking the initiative to work out this procedure for
the sake of the birding community. It is much appreciated!

I would also like to suggest that when birders visit here, to make an
economic impact, albeit small, on the community by spending some
money there ... eat lunch in Cambridge, buy gas, etc.

Maybe Les or Norm or other Dorchester/Talbot locals could recommend a
few quaint places to eat in town other then the usual Rt 50
selections! Maybe if only one or two places were recommended, the
birding impact might be a bit more visible. Since the marina
sign-in/sing-out sheet does not seem to be a sighting log, per se,
perhaps having a sighting sheet posted in a local restaurant would
also entice birders to drop in(?)

Phil
