On 1/13 at 11:00 am Jane and I saw a King Eider at the Ocean City Inlet but it was a different bird than the one which Ron reported. We had an immature male King Eider. It was on the south side of the South Jetty at about the mid-point. We viewed the bird when the tide was high which allowed for reasonable scope views. I went back to the Inlet around 4:00 pm when the tide was much lower and was not able to see the bird.

One Great Cormorant was present at the Inlet and we saw the Eared Grebe at 33rd St.

I re-found the Black-bellied Whistling-Duck at Silver Lake in Rehoboth, DE. It was not associating with any of the other ducks and was on the north side of the lake.

Hi Everyone,

A cold, late-morning trip to Ocean City produced the Eared Grebe at 33rd St (bayside) and an adult Great Cormorant at the inlet (standing on the south jetty).  The female King Eider was in view briefly (south side of south jetty) and the Pergerine Falcon was on the water tower.

Oh, and a Harbor Seal was just outside the inlet between the large red and green markers--cool!

Have fun,
