While on the way in to work this morning, there was a large flock of Wild Turkeys, around 40 birds, in a creek bed along Sudley Road. It was hard to get a good head count with all of the trees in the area. It's about 1.6 miles south of 255 (Owensville Rd.) and just a bit north of Holt Lane. Usually we have decent flocks of WITUs around SERC but the acorn failure this fall has dispersed them.
When I got to work, the feeder was loaded down with Am. Goldfinches and one Pine Siskin.
A nice start to the day!
